Summary: The game developers have virtual property sales for real money. 1st in-game sale $26,500 for a virtual island. 2nd was $100,000 for an asteroid. Guy who bought it, mortgaged his house. In 2009, a space station was sold for $330,000. Virtual island buyer made it all back in 9 months and now makes $300 a day. It's expected that the space station buyer will make back his $330,000 investment in 3 years. Asteroid buyer paid it off in 8 months. There's no end-game because it's always under development.

My comments: Here's proof that virtual goods are good investments and make money. I can't stand another person who is surprised that I spent $1000 on a virtual in-game item. I'm sure the mainstream are still non-believers. My coworkers was like that. It took some Western Union receipts to finally shut him up and boy was that a good feeling.

Of course MMORPG investments are definitely risky since what happens if the servers shut down or you get banned. Many things can go wrong and ruin your day. Be on the lookout for virtual investments in the future or you may miss the opportunity of a lifetime.
