Summary: Site was shut down under investigation of hacking. Their middleman account was compromised. The victim posted a complain on ffxiah.com Artemys and I tried to figure out what was going on. The administrator posted a notice about an investigation, but now the site is back with no explanation of what happened. I would suggest excersizing extreme caution if you use this site.

Accounts.net has been taken over by a new company and is no longer supporting Everquest accounts nor leveling. This may change in the near future, however in the meantime there may be customers who after the recent SOE downtime and attack, need support for their accounts.

I am all for someone else putting in a higher offer on an account, but doing it by $5-$10 is getting a little ridiculous and it is just plain dirty. If you are going to choose to go into a bid war with another reseller or buyer, at least do it with some class. Summary: 111 million FFXI gil ($2200) was stolen. Although this is a significant amount, this is nothing new. The seller is SomeDude123 and the buyer is Xiaoxie. The scammer impersonated SomeDude123 and Xiaoxie. Then started up simultaneous separate MSN conversations with them.

SomeDude123 asks for scammer to verify his EGS identity as Xiaoxie. The scammer requests Xiaoxie to send a PM to SomeDude123. Xiaoxie does this and SomeDude123 takes the bait.
